The Lowcountry Furniture Bank is a non-profit corporation and registered charity in good standing with the South Carolina Secretary of State. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) had
determined that the Lowcountry Furniture bank meets the requirement for exemption for 501c3 status and donations are tax deductible.
501(c)3 non-profit status has been determined by the IRS with an effective date of June 13, 2011.
Cash contributions are needed for a permanent warehouse.

Furniture Pick Up:
We do not take furniture off the street. We want to know where the furniture is coming from so we schedule a pick up with the donor. Pick ups are normally scheduled for Saturdays, but
special arrangements can be made for weekdays after work.
Although not a religious organization
per se, the Lowcountry Furniture Bank was formed out of a spirit of Missio Dei or the “Sending of God.” Additionally we believe that everyone has a purpose on earth and part of our purposeisto assist those in need.
The Lowcountry Furniture Bank was
founded as a non-profit corporation in June 2011, by Steve Paterniti and the expert legalservices ofthe Bostic Law Firm. Steve and his wife, Bonnie, have been an integral part of the Charleston Community for over 30 years.Throughout the years they have partnered with the Trident United Way, Low Country Food Bank, HALOS, and MUSC YES Campaign in addition to many other charitable
works. Steveis an ordained minister and has been involved in several charitable andsocial service works dating back to the 80’s
